London - day 7 and 8 (Saras version)

We went to Cambridge today, but unfortunately I didn't feel very well so Anna and Nicole decided that it would be best for me if we went back home and rested a bit. The little I saw of Cambridge, I liked. The buildings were really beautiful.

In the evening all the students gathered to say goodbye to eachother. It was really sad :(

Sunday. Time for us to go home. I don't wan't to go back to Sweden. What I will miss the most is the beautiful brick houses, the low prices and, of course, the nice people that we met. I wan't to go back there someday, but for now it's time to say goodbye to London. I've learned so much on this journey and I've grown as a person. I thank London for giving me the time of my life. London - day 6 (Saras version)

Today was the last day in school. It's been really fun, and I don't want to go home on Sunday. We gave flowers to the teacher that's been looking after us during the week. Later on we're going to another museum and tomorrow we're going to Cambridge.
This has been an really amazing trip, and I don't want this week to end.
I will really miss this awesome group :(

Friday

Our last day at school, sadly. I will be missing my amazing teacher Anouska which have been a pleasure to met. I hope I will see her one day in the future until that they day I hope everything goes briilliant for her. One of the nicest people I ever met and i will never forget her.
What we did tthat they were to sum up what we had been doing which i will do on the blog tomorrow when I am home.

We also wrote a little thing to the school, nothing extremly big, but something. We ate and got half our breakfast money back and the rest will we get at home by the school.

After the school we ate something and then it was off to a museum which i cannot remember the name of right now. I will give more info at home about that too. We were there for a while, but it wasnt the things that attract us the most. Therefore we decided to leave and headed off for the last minute shopping. We splited up (it was me, sara, nicole and nastiya) and then met at home again.

At the evening we all met and celebrated midsommar and said goodbye to two off us which would go away the next day.

That was yesterday and now i will write about today :-)

London - day 5 (Saras version)

Today we had a new version of the pre-recorded tour, but they talked about different things of course, like Big Ben and the London Eye. This tour wasn't as long as the other one, and not as educative in my opinion, but it was fun and interesting anyway. When we got back to school we got a paper with a dialogue between two persons. The task was to figure out what the words in bold actually ment. For example "I didn't quite catch that", which is an arrogant way of saying that you're not really paying attention to what the other person is saying. After talking about the meaning of the quotes we sat in different groups and made our own dialogues with these sentences. Afterwards we were to perform the dialogues in front of the class.
Later that day we went to The Globe to see William Shakespeare's play "All's well that ends well". It was really good, and The Globe is one of the few buildings that I've really wanted to visit, so I'm happy.

Camdon and today

Yesterday i went to camdon with the girls from guthenberg (or what it is called in english). We splited up in two groups, one group with Gracija, Fanny and Amez. Then my group was Elvira and I. We went to all the markets and i went a bit nuts with the money. Or not nuts because i only bought cheap things that i knew i wanted and had to buy xP but it was much more than usually.

We also bought 6 donuts for £2. They were incredible because they made them in front of us. Amazing.
Today we went up and headed to school. Every day at 9.30 am we have to be in school. We then went away to westminister and we had a little tour around their. We met ghosts and learned a lot which I will write down when I have my pictures out on the blog and have fixed everything. After the incredible journey it will be up. But it was not as long as the one we had before, the one we had the day before yesterday.
After that we had a lunch break and ate pizza, really good pizza that they had in a shop... Inside a car.. Quite funny actually xD

Then after school we headed to a show at the globe and saw all's well that ends well at 2 pm. It was really fun to see and yeah, something that you have to do if you have time in england. We standed next to the acters and they were really good and it was about a girl who loved a boy that didnt want to marry her even after the king said to him to do it xD ... It was a bit weird but it was still a good shakespear play. :-)

After that we went aroud tottenham and I bought some books. It was really a lovely bookstore and we just went into shops. It was me, sara and nicole that did that. After thta i bought falafel and rice and ate at home while looking at the view. The day was really lovely even though it went a bit to quick.

Now nicole and I are sitting and listning to music in the kitchen while watching the view. Just perfect.
I well give more info about the dya after today.

London - day 4 (Saras version)

Today we didn't do very much. We got some papers with words that we were to learn and afterwards we had a trip to Camdon.

One more update

Hello again, I'm sorry for the late update but we don't really have as much time as I thought we would have and we have to blog in our school... during our breaks, lunch or after school and after school we usually go somewhere with the guide and yesterday I also forgot about bloging even though we didn't have anything after -_-' sorry...

Well, what I did after bloging Monday ate something quickly and then we headed somewhere else. There is a lot of fast food here, even though it might not be the best, it is still fine


We then headed away with Laura, one of the people working at the school and she showed us some diverse things that were really fun to see. I don't remember really what we did more than eat and talk after that. I talked with all of the students, not only the ones from Stockholm so we got to know each other a bit more.
Yesterday we were the first group that tried a new way to be guide around the town with headphones and people who were supposed to be ghost that talked to us. One was William Shakespear, another one Beatrice, a fireman and some others that I cannot remember the names. I thought it was going to be boring but it was really fun and I learned a lot about the city. About the fire that almost burned down the whole city, a ship, william shakespear (we bought tickets to go and watch) It is a comedy and not as famous as the others, but it is inside the globe so it will be awesome.
After the tour around the city, we went back to the school for an argument class that was fun to do because people expressed their opinions. I think that helped us getting to know the once we did not know that much before a lot better.

After that me and my friend Sara decided not to see the movie Bad Teacher that the others wanted to see, therefore we headed home (but stopped at every store on the way). Then Sara and I waited for them to arrive, when they arrived we went to the shoppingmall by our house which is huuuuuuge. But it was extremley expensive so no one bought anything. After that we went out and ate dinner and headed home for a little socalizing.

Today at class we are talking, it is what the class is mostly about. It isn't that serious it is more relaxed and enjoyable. We talked about famous people from Sweden and now we are going to have a presentation about any famous person in the world. We chose the unpopular infamous Rebecca Black, so we will see if they will get it.
It is a tour later around, I think it is called, Camdon, so hopefully it will be fun to go there. I hope it will be fun and I will write a bit more later.

Even though my freezer is a crazy room mate and makes weird noises, I can now sleep. (with something in my ears so I won't hear it). But it is nice to hear noises sometimes which makes me happy to have the freezer in my room.  I shopped two T-shirts... but I don't remember the date... maybe it was Monday.. I bet it was a bit...


I love to be here and it is such a lovely town. I feel not as a turist, I feel more like I am home when Im riding the subway (which looks gorgeus) and the buses and everything here. I am the happiest person in the world right now!

Btw yesterday Rune, Sara, Nicole and me learned a englishmen named James a bit Swedish. It was fun to see him trying to make the sounds we do and when he tried to say Rune everyone started to laugh. But this experience is incredibly.

Now I have to go, but I will write tomorrow if I can. I will anyway update soon.

London - day 3 (Saras version)

We were in the school at half past nine. This day, we weren't going to have a normal lesson in the classroom. We were going on a pre-recorded tour that taught us more about the St. Peters Cathedral, Shakespeare's theatre The Globe, etc. It was really educating and fun. Good learning method.
In the evening, all the students from Gothenburgh and we from Stockholm went to Picadilly Circus to have a look around. It wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but it was nice and I took some pictures here too. London really is a beautiful city.

London - day 2 (Saras version)

We met up in the school at 9:am, in the room that would be our home classroom for the week. The one who would lead the class was Anouska Jepson, a teacher at the David Game college. We sat in the classroom 'til two o clock, just talking and getting to know eachother. The students from Gothenburgh weren't as frightening as I thought.
After that, we met up with Laura again to go to the British Museum. I took a lot of pictures that afternoon. After we were done there, we got a personal guide, one of the Gothenburgh students, who showed us around in the area. We got home pretty late, but it was worth it.

Second part of the week! =D=D=D Steffe's Version

As the days passes by, we kept on doing the same things as we did the first days, those were

*SHOPPING
*SCHOOL

*Went on small trips
*Explored the town

With other words, we were living our dreams! :)



Now since london is so cheap, we bought pretty much everything we wanted which wasn't that good, i ran out of money and had to call my dad and ask for more =) (which was good because i got more!!)
So on thursday my father gave me one big ammount which was pretty much enough for the rest of the trip. 

So as the time passed by, on friday we got our grades for those 5days from Anuska, I got pretty good ones so i was satisfied, i'm not sure though if the other were as happy as i was. To show our gratitude to her, we even bought flowers from a shop that was located nearby our school. We actually surprised her and she was really happy!


On saturday some went to Campbridge, i didn't because we didn't feel so good, we must have ate bad food or something. But the rest of our crew told uss that it wasn't much we missed so i guess i'm ok with it :)
After Campbridge we meet upp all 11 of uss to enjoy our last night in London together! We were sitting at a park outside the girls student home and just hanging out, even the police stopped by to talk with uss, i found them really nice :) Even got some pictures of them.

Around 01.00 AM Sunday Morning we headed back home, that includes Me,Linus and Sebastian. We had to go because my Cab was picking me up at 3AM. Which means that my flight was going 6AM so i had to stay up all night long and that was not so fun :(




This Week in London was the Best Week in my life, i really enjoyed it! I'm hoping that my school gives me another uppertunity next year to once again go and visit London. If i could, i would live there!

London - day 1 (Saras version)

We arrived in London at half past nine. It took a while for us to get our bags and to find our driver, but around eleven we were settled in our apartment. Typical that we would get the apartment at the top of the building, thinking of our heavy luggage and all, but now that it's been a while I kind of like the flat.

After settling down, we went to Notttting Hill where the school is located. There we met up with Laura, who was responsible for the trips around London that the school provided for us. We walked around all day to China Town etc. and had a really good time.

First day and a bit of the second one

Everything was very confusing when we arrived. (I was with four girls from my school named Anastasiya, Sara and Nicole) First I thought that we were late and everything seemed to go wrong, even though we didn't want that to happen. But then we realized that we were early because we had not changed the clocks, then I was relived.
When we arrived at the airport in London we had to wait for 50 minutes before our luggage arrived. After been waiting for 50 minutes we went out to find our driver and that was hard. There were about 50 drivers with signs everywhere. I was the one that was really looking at every sign and then we saw the schools name, David Game College and then we went over. It was a big relise to know that we had found our driver, which meant that we didn't have to go by ourselves to the place we would be staying at.
We arrived at the place where we would be sleeping and finished up there. We then went to a restaurant and ate. Then we tried to find the way to the subway, but ended up taking the bus instead (we got oyster cards from our school). We were two and a half hour early which helped us find the place and go around a bit by ourselves. (mostly shopping that happend)
After that we met Laura, a really sweet girl that will be one of our guides this week.  She showed us one really long street that was near Nottin Hill Gate and then also China Town and Oxford street. After that we had had a wonderful evening but where starving and needed to go somewhere else, therefore we decided to go and eat. We didn't want to eat in groups and therefore we all four went. Yet when we arrived at home we found that the four other girls from Gothenburg (dont know how to write it) had arrived. We have got to know each other a bit and they are lovely people and nice to talk to.
We didn't do so much more that day. We just hungout and went to sleep... or not really asleep. We live in a place for students of David Game College school and I had chosen the only room that was only with one bed, therefore I stayed by myself. But the freezer seems to have a problem and therefore I couldn't sleep, but I think it will be fixed today.

Today we have had a class since 9,30 am this morning. We are 11 students from International It college of Sweden and we got to introduce ourselves a little bit better this day.  We are now off to see something.. not right now but soon. The others have gone to lunch so i think i will get something to eat too. I will find a way to put in my pictures because it doesn't work on this old computer that i am sitting at right now.

One week in london - Steffe's Version

We came, We saw, We enjoyed it! :)

the first day we arrived there, we didn't stop talking how wondeful it was!

Since it was so cheap, we ran around the city buying all kinds on snacks, soda's and much more, day after that we realized how much money we weasted the first day but i guess it was worth it because we had so much fun!


During the first day we also met our guide Laura, a very nice woman that showed us all around the town. (around "nothing hill gate")


On  Monday, tuesday and wednesday we had regular school classes from 9-1, i must say that i really enjoyed them, our teacher Anuska was really educating and polite! A good teacher!

After our classes we went to museums and around the city. We also went to the famous "Oxford Street", Oxford street is famous because of all the cheap stores it has :)



I bought some T-shirts and some more stuff just because it was so cheap! Well now i'm off..

LONDON WOOOHOOOO =D Anna's version

It is 5 o’clock in the morning and I am extremly tired. Have not really sleept alot, but I don’t really mind because I am going to England.   

Well, I guess I should have started with stating my name and the reason why I do this… so I do that know xD 

My name is Anna and I am from Sweden. I am going to London because of a stipendium I got from my school which mostly involve a English class for a week. I am excited to see how it is going to be. This is the first time I am going overseas since 2007.

I have decided to write on English, even though I might not be the best on the language, because of the English course I will be taking in London and where I am going to stay. It will be a lot more of text the next time I update, because I don’t have the time and I have to go soon, but I have started it now.

This is how my luggage while I was packing it. Don’t worry I have closed it now, I’m not that big of an idiot xD
